LARKSPUR CRICKET CLUB
ABOUT THE CLUB
Sixty years of evening leagues, Saturday whites and Sunday juniors — one club, one Oval, one community.
OUR STORY
Larkspur Cricket Club was founded in the spring of 1965, when eleven players marked out a square on the town meadow and called it the Oval. That meadow is still our home. Today the club fields a men's 1st XI, a championship-winning women's XI and an under-19 academy side, with more than 200 juniors training every week of the summer.
Our vision is simple yet powerful: to foster a club where passion, teamwork, and tradition sit at the heart of everything we do. Membership is open to all — no trial needed for social members, and juniors of every ability are welcome at Friday night training.
SIX DECADES AT THE OVAL
The club is founded and the first square is cut on the town meadow that becomes Larkspur Oval.
Skipper Ray Collier lifts the county championship after an unbeaten final-day run chase.
Twelve players answer a notice in the pavilion — the start of the road to a national crown.
Members and sponsors fund a new clubhouse with changing rooms, nets and a viewing deck.
The women's XI win the National Championship — the first national title in club history.
TRAINING & FACILITIES
Four outdoor nets, an indoor centre for winter, a refurbished square with ten strips and a pavilion bar with the best sunset view in the league. Seniors train Tuesdays and Thursdays; juniors own Friday nights.
